Upcycled Kitchen Island / Butchers Block

We have made this interesting kitchen island / centre table by marrying this huge butchers block top with a cast iron industrial base.
Both the base and the top are circa 1940's. A few bumps and scrapes as per their age and use.
We have added the slatted shelf for storing pots and pans.
Good and sturdy and fairly heavy.
