Mid 19th Century French Painted Armoire
A mid 19th century French painted armoire with the most beautifully soft, timeworn pink exterior and dark green interior finish all with original patina.
The piece retains its elegant proportions, with panelled doors and a shaped cornice giving it a classic French presence. Layers of historic paint and natural wear create a subtle depth and warmth across the surface.
This piece is in good structural condition but certainly does show signs of its age. It is missing a few bits of moulding and has a few knocks and scrapes. It is an authentic piece and shows it !
It comes apart for shipping with the top half lifting off for ease of getting into position. Unusually it is deep enough for clothes hangers.
Ideal for bedrooms, hallways or relaxed country house interiors.
