Large Converted Savoy Hotel Larder Lantern
A wonderful large-scale lantern, converted from an original steel and mesh larder safe from The Savoy Hotel in London.
This became available when the hotel was refurbished in the 1920' / 30'. A one off piece !
Originally used for ventilated food storage in the hotel, it has now been cleverly repurposed as a hanging lantern. The mesh sides, working door and aged steel finish give it masses of character, while the single exposed bulb keeps the overall look simple.
A really unusual statement light and in fantastic condition.
