Another part of a long counter that came out of a charcuterie in Nice, France.
These were popular in the early 20th century for keeping things fresh.
The top has been replaced with new 'aged' zinc. The rest
of the counter, being made predominately from oak, just needed a good clean up
and has been re-waxed. We have satin polished the handles.

it is a rather smart piece.
