These interesting antique threshing boards were made to be pulled by cattle on top of freshly cut wheat, in order to break up the grain from the straw.
These ones were sourced in Spain, and are early 19th Century. We have sourced a few of these over the years and these are by far the best ones we have found.
Lovely wear and colour to the flint and wood, showing years of use. Some old re-treated woodworm.
The one on the right has awesome repaired along the top.
We love these mounted at the end of a corridor - very much a talking piece.
