Barrow Hill Junction Box Sign
Sold
Barrow Hill Engine shed was built in 1870 and contained a huge turntable for turning trains around. The Junction Box was just down the line. Derbyshire, England.
An iconic and important part of our industrial and locomotive history.
Completely original, hand painted with a few bumps and scrapes, structurally sound.
I'm pretty sure the last picture shows the sign in its original position. It was demolished in the 1970's. The turntable is now open as a museum.
27.5 cm h x 233 l x 6.5 d.
