La Chapellerie Counter / Island
This wonderful unique counter was sourced from a Paris shop selling hats. Late 19th Century.
Beautiful original painted condition with masses of natural patina. The top is oak and looks like it had fabric pinned to the top when it was in the shop. There are pin holes running around the top edge.
We have increased the height to standard kitchen island height. The way that this has been made with the drawers running into pigeon holes lends itself to different configurations. You would remove some of the drawers if you wanted more open shelving.
All in all in great structural conditions with a few bumps and scrapes. The oak top has been sealed with a food safe mineral oil.
