Believed to be oil on canvas, the painting depicts a colourful fishing harbour with boats in the foreground and houses overlooking the waterfront. Painted in a distinctive modernist style, with bold geometric forms and a beautiful palette of turquoise blues, ochres, reds and earthy tones.
The painting is presented in a decorative gilt frame with a linen inset.
Sourced in France.
In good vintage condition, with some minor craquelure (fine cracking) to the paint surface. The frame is also in good condition, with a few marks and signs of age-related wear.
