Sycamore Leathersmith Table
Sold
This beautiful 1920's table was sourced from a leather shop that was attached to a textile factory in Lille, France.
A lovely design with interesting details all over the construction.
In excellent condition and structurally very sound. It had a thin layer of Lino on the top which has mostly protected and preserved the surface. There are some tool marks mostly down one side which looks like where someone has been punching holes in the leather. A feature we love !
We have given this a good sand and sealed the top with a matt varnish.
This could work as a kitchen table if we removed 2 cm from the feet - although it would not be possible to sit at either end. Really this is a console or centre table but would also make and amazing large desk.
78 cm h ( 64 cm knee clearance ) x 240.5 l x 86 d.
