French Drapers Table

This is a classic 19th Century French drapers table, lovely elegant and simple design, with one drawer.
A great original colour to the pine which hasn't been fabricated. Some signs of old wood worm which we have re-treated to be on the safe side and there is a small ink stain on the top - all part of its authentic character and history. There are also some pin holes around the top edge where some fabric would have been pinned to the top.
One end has had a few bits replaced and restored - structurally all now very good and sturdy. Not the original key which we do not have. I have fixed an old key in position to work as a draw handle.
A good looking useful size piece of furniture.
