Huge Wrought Iron Shop Sign

I think it is fair to say one doesn't see many of these ! This fantastic decorative wall piece was found above a boucherie in Deauville, Normandy. The current owner was having some old wooden panelling restored above the shop window and this impressive wrought iron sign was discovered behind the panelling.
From local knowledge this antique sign can be dated to 1890-1910.
We have given it a good clean and lacquered the beautiful iron work and frame - leaving the actual, naturally distressed painted sign ,untouched.
