19th Century Swedish Bakery Table

We sourced this mid 19th Century Swedish work table from a farm near Gothenburg.

A classic piece of antique painted country furniture from the South of Sweden.  It would have been used for baking and other food prep.  This table has been dry scraped to reveal many layers of original paint and back to the pine.  There are several different colours of blues, browns and off whites coming through in different places.

Really just to help the table become a more useful piece and aesthetically add a subtle layer of intrigue we have added and painted the shelf with a crackled and distress harlequin design.  Fun but not over the top - certainly a unique piece of furniture.

Perfect as a display table, kitchen island, or console.
