Bespoke Italian Draper’s Table in Reclaimed Pine
A wonderful large Italian draper's table, handmade from beautifully aged reclaimed pine, with a lovely warm colour and wonderfully characterful finish.
Part of our bespoke furniture collection, these tables are made for us by our talented friend Filippo in Italy. He uses carefully selected reclaimed pine, full of old marks, imperfections and natural texture, which he then works with using his wonderful artisan finishing techniques. The result is a beautifully understated piece of furniture, with all the warmth, depth and character of something much older.
We particularly like the simple proportions of this table, with its substantial turned legs and two long open shelves beneath. Originally inspired by traditional draper's tables, which were used in shops and workshops for displaying and storing fabrics, this design is wonderfully versatile. It would work equally well as a kitchen island, console table, shop display or large hallway table.
The table pictured was made as a bespoke commission and has now sold. However, we can have similar tables made to almost any dimensions. Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss having one made, and we would be delighted to provide a quotation.
