Elisa’s Painted Botanicals

A wonderfully colourful and unusual piece of decorative art, entirely hand-painted by our talented friend Elisa in Florence, Italy. Featuring sixteen individual botanical illustrations, each beautifully painted within its own panel, with a lovely combination of flowers, herbs, fruits and foliage.

Elisa has a wonderful eye for colour and detail, using traditional artisan painting techniques to create pieces full of character and charm. The soft blue-grey painted frame contrasts beautifully with the warm cream background and vibrant botanical illustrations, each surrounded by a fine red border. The entire piece has been given a lovely crackled and aged finish, creating the appearance of old painted decoration. We particularly like the slightly naive quality of the illustrations, which gives the piece a wonderfully relaxed and informal feel.

A fun, vibrant and rather unusual piece that would look lovely in a kitchen, hallway or sitting room. A contemporary work of art with all the charm and character of something much older.
